    Measurements of your child’s body, not of the garment. They follow standard international children’s sizing.

    How to measure

    1. Height

      Stand them straight against a wall without shoes, and measure from the floor to the top of the head. For babies, measure lying down, from the top of the head to the heel. Height is the most reliable guide.

    2. Chest

      Measure around the fullest part of the chest, under the arms, keeping the tape level and comfortably loose.

    3. Waist

      Measure around the natural waist, just above the belly button, without pulling the tape tight.

    4. For custom stitching

      Also measure the length you’d like: from the top of the shoulder, next to the neck, down to the hem for a top or kurta; and from the waist down the side of the leg to the ankle for trousers or a shalwar.

    • Go by height first: children of the same age can be very different sizes.
    • If your child is between sizes, choose the larger size, so there is room to grow.
    • For babies, weight helps too: a bigger newborn may be ready for 3–6 months straight away.
