Eid 2027 outfit ideas for children, with the expected Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha dates, what to order when, and how to keep kids comfortable from prayers to the last dawat.
Eid 2027 dates
Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin around 8 February 2027, with Eid al-Fitr expected on or around 10 March 2027. Eid al-Adha 2027 is expected around 16 May 2027. All of these depend on the moon sighting: Pakistan’s Ruet-e-Hilal committee announces its own dates, often a day after Saudi Arabia, so the final dates are confirmed a day or so before.
For clothes, that means ordering Eid al-Fitr outfits in January or early February, and Eid al-Adha outfits by mid-April, especially if anything is made to order.
Girls: kameez sets, frocks and ghararas
For Eid morning, a lawn or cotton silk kameez with a shalwar or straight trousers and a light dupatta is the classic choice: cool for a long day and easy to run around in. For the evening or a bigger family gathering, a frock with a churidar gives a twirl, and a gharara or sharara set brings the wedding feeling without the wedding weight.

Boys: kurta shalwar, with or without a waistcoat
A kurta shalwar in ivory, white or a soft colour is the Eid uniform for good reason: it looks smart at prayers and survives the park afterwards. Add an embroidered waistcoat for photos and dawats, then take it off when the running starts. For winter Eid, a velvet prince coat over the kurta keeps him warm without a jacket over the top.
Babies: soft, quick to change
A first Eid outfit should be as easy as a babygrow: poppers at the shoulder, flat seams, a pull-on pajama. Save the heavier fabrics for the photos and change them into cotton for the nap.
A parent’s checklist
- Order in-stock pieces four to six weeks before Eid; made-to-order pieces eight weeks or more
- Check the chest measurement, not just the age
- Choose elasticated waists for anyone under six
- Pack a spare kurta or frock for the evening
- Photograph the outfits laid flat the night before, so the morning is calm
